What the service is

WIN by VIN assembles evidence about vehicles into VIN Passports that show their origin, timing and VIN Grade. A VIN Grade describes evidence strength and coverage only. It is not a condition score, a safety rating, a value estimate, an ownership determination or a guarantee, and must not be relied on as any of those.

Accounts and trust levels

One account can contribute to any number of vehicles. Publishing into the public record requires identity verification through a provider we designate. Ownership claims and professional credentials are verified separately. We may lower a trust level when evidence of misuse exists.

You are responsible for what you publish. Do not publish content you do not have the right to publish, and do not publish personal information about other people.

Purchases

Prices are shown from our commerce catalog before checkout together with the scope and access period. Buying record access does not establish ownership of a vehicle. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; you may cancel at any time and keep access to the end of the paid period. Shopper Pack credits are personal, non-transferable and remain valid while the account is active. A Verified Inspection is refunded in full if no inspector is available in the vehicle's area within three business days.

Win Points

Win Points are a loyalty programme, not currency, property or a security. Points are awarded for accepted contributions under the published rules, vest 14 days after acceptance, and are forfeited when the underlying evidence is rejected or found fraudulent. Redemption requires a verified identity, an account at least 30 days old and at least 5,000 vested points, and is limited to 12 redemptions of up to 50,000 points per year; checks require a verified owner (TL2). Vested points expire after 18 months without activity. Win Points never affect a VIN Grade, an evidence weight or a contributor's reputation counts, and we may change the catalog and rules prospectively with notice. Cash-equivalent rewards may be reported to tax authorities where required.

Bulk import and partner data

Suppliers who publish through the import studio, the API or the CLI warrant that they have the right to publish every row and file, that the evidence is accurate to the best of their knowledge, and that they are identified truthfully. Machine-read content stays quarantined until a person confirms it. We may reject, quarantine or remove supplier data and suspend partner keys where evidence quality or rights are in doubt.

Evidence and takedowns

Contributions become part of the record with their origin attached. We remove content that violates the law or these terms, and we mark, rather than delete, evidence that is superseded so the record stays honest about its own history.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for decisions made in reliance on a record. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
